I don't know if it is a real concern or just marketing: HOP SHORTAGE ------------ 2007's supply of hops is unfortunately not expected to meet the worldwide demand. The hop shortage is expected to last about 2-3 years. The good news: we contracted an adequate supply of hop pellets for us to supply our customers for the 2008 calendar year. The bad news: the 2007 crop is not yet ready for shipment, and the 2006 crop is nearly sold out. The situation looks pretty bad now (if you look at our website, most varieties are unavailable). The 2007 crop is just beginning to ship, and we expect the situation will only improve from this point forward. Please bear with us, and try experimenting with some of the newer varieties we have brought in, like Ahtanum, Boadicea, Lublin, Marynka, Newport, Northdown, Premiant, Progress, Sladek, Sterling, and Vanguard! It's time to get creative folks!

Grain prices are going up also. Mabey next year I'll have some hops of my own to harvest. Homebrew at my house. in Primary: in Secondary: CitraHead Pale Ale on tap: Warrior Stout II, HPA (Hoppy Pale Ale) in Bottles: Old Raggedy

I ordered Friday and recieved Tuesday: Hop restrictions have been temporarily lifted. We recently received the rest of our 2008 hop allocation from our main hop distributor and our hop freezer is bursting. We need to clear a little room so we have lifted our hop sale restrictions on almost every hop we sell. We currently have 33 different hop varieties available! Some varieties are available by the pound! We are not sure how long this will last. If you have a favorite hop, now might be the time to stock up on your favorite hop. Hops can be stored in your freezer for years with minimal effect. Click here for Hop-O-Rama ... http://www.midwestsupplies.com/
